Hello ,
It may be simple question . How Can I set the Dynamics *soft/hatf* in Grand piano ?

Play lower MIDI velocities, under 35 (MIDI goes from 1 to 127, 0 is "off").

If you lower "Hardness" then you can play velocities a bit higher, but not much over 60.

Opening Grand Piano's Rack, it has ff, f, mf and p dynamics.

Maybe you can add a Velocity device with negative Drive to make it easier to play soft.

I investigated the hardness roll . It is the only choice that I have to change the dynamics level.
Do you know any other buttons or choices that may affect dynamics? How can I reach them through the software ?
Thanks

Only Hardness and MIDI Velocity affect dynamics, AFAIK.

There is a velocity control that will affect dynamics a bit. I'm looking at it, but I don't totally understand what's going on yet. I'm no sampler expert. Playing soft doesn't seem to affect volume, but not the tone as much as I'd think it should.

Actually, upon more study, you could change the velocity zones to bring the pianissimo into play at higher velocities, and put an EQ inline on each chain to pull out tiny graduating amounts of highs which I feel are bit too prevalent at the lower velocities. You could also use the filter I suppose, though I'm not totally clear on how.

You can also put a velocity MIDI effect in front to compress the velocity info to change how the keyboard reacts.

Check the “instrument rack” section of the users guide. It does a very good job of explaining it. Better than we can.
