Hi,
In session view say I have an audio clip that is mainly two parts with 2 seconds of silence between them. I want to cut 1 second of silence. How to do that without warping (warping changes the rendering of the audio)? Same question if I simply want to move the 2nd part a little bit to the left. I tried to set to off the warp button but what I see then is my parts without a grid and I still don't see how to delete or move any part.
Thank you for your help,
Patrick
In session view, how to cut an audio segment without warping the clip
Re: In session view, how to cut an audio segment without warping the clip
I usually copy clips into the arrangement view and do the editing there then copy the edited clip(s) back to session view if necessary.
Live 10 Suite, 2020 27" iMac, 3.6 GHz i9, MacOS Catalina, RME UFX, assorted synths, guitars and stuff.

Thanks for your help TLW. If I understand what you say, it's not possible to do it in Session view?

Re: In session view, how to cut an audio segment without warping the clip
No. Not in the sample players. Best to think of session view as place that is used to store your ideas and the arrangement view as the "editor". In Session you can only have a sample player playback the samples but in arrangement view you can do your edits then consolidate the result and copy back to a clip.
