Auditing The Dependencies of an Ableton Project
Auditing The Dependencies of an Ableton Project
I have some Ableton projects (with dependencies) that I'd like to bring collaborators in on via Splice. Is there an automated way for me to figure out the dependencies of an Ableton project so I can relay that to my collaborators?
Re: Auditing The Dependencies of an Ableton Project
quick answer, there isn't a command line interface to spit out a list of files or anything in the menus (Live 10.1) that outputs a list of files used in a project.
you can see elements of the set in the Live Browser which I assume you've looked at. but there's nothing that I know of that lists the detailed components of a set like samplesused , synths used, size of each element etc.
I say quick answer because I don't collab with people and actually DO stuff like this. if you need an answer this afternoon, that's my $0.02.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you need but you can see a list of all external files used in a Set with File Manager. View > File Manager > External Files > Show Files from Elsewhere.
You can use Collect All and Save to copy all external files into the project folder the Set is contained in.
