audio driving me nuts

when i drop a plugin ie podfarm line 6 as audio track i set it to 1 and 2 auto.no problems.if put amplitube 4 on and do exactly the same and my audio hits red even when i bring slider right down.tweeked master and input in amplitube 4,still a problem.master does not hit the red so thats a bonus.any ideas?
must be something to do with amplitube 4 because podfarm ok.ps:i set audio in to 3 and 4 and its too low lol. thanks guys

There are a lot of gain stages between Amplitube’s input/pedals/amp/speaker/rack/output sections and tweaking them can get frustrating and complicated. Which is one reason I prefer actual amps and pedals, I find it makes gain control (and the sound and playing feel) much more straightforward.
