Seg BPM

Post by johnnywicca » Tue Feb 18, 2020 8:50 am

Hi Guys

Having watched a few youtube vids on this I'm still unclear as to how the tempo is behaving inside the Warp function.

Every time I move a Warp Marker on a track the Seg BPM changes.

Say I set project tempo of a track that is originally 94 to 95. I then set the markers to line the kick transients with the grid. The seg. tempo then tell me after I have lined the transients up that the tempo is now 94. The same as the original!

Am I missing a trick here. What the hell is happening with the Seg BPM?!

It tells you what the Original bpm of that segment (everything after that warp marker) is.

With Live now knowing the Original bpm, it can use that data to force the clip to be the New tempo. But it will not know how to do this unless the clip properties and Segment BPM tells it what the original tempo of the content is.
