Moving audio elements in arrangement view to visible lines that adhere to a groove.
Reaper has it like so:

Create a long clip. Fill it with the appropriate note type, typically 16th notes. Select and apply the groove you want to the clip, then use that clip as a reference. Could've sworn I posted this earlier. Not saying no to the suggestion.

Referencing to the clip means lining up everything manually, which must be so tiring and cumbersome.
If this is a valid workaround Ableton will happily remove the snap function itself completely.

I think this would be a killer feature for those who makes complextro, glitch hop and any other style which incorporates a lot of slicing and rearranging of samples. Besides, a lot of people seems to like laying drum samples out directly onto the arrangement view. I'm not a fan of this method but it does have more visual feedback also more editing options.

I had assumed they wanted to lay out stuff manually. Otherwise they could just consolidate the clips and apply the groove to the joined clip. Again, not saying no to an option to set the grid to a groove. That could be very handy for some purposes.
