certain file types not working in Lite

Post by dubstar123 » Sat Mar 07, 2020 9:13 pm

I previously used the trial for 10 Suite, but am now using Lite until I decide how I want to license Suite. I am running into 2 annoying issues:

-Trying to add .aif files to drum rack - "no license available to read this audio file"
-Trying to play a .alc file from the Clips browser - "This device is not available in this version of Live"

Why would these be in the browser inside of Lite if they were not usable in this version?

Do you still have your Suite library installed from when you were trialing it?

I'm sure I do, I didn't remove anything with the expectation I was gonna get a full license for it. I guess I assumed that Lite would only look at what it could play, just like it doesn't have all instruments or effects. But if that is due to the trial then I get it. Thanks

Lite probably just adopted the Library you had from the Suite demo, it doesn't know that the Suite app time trial is over or anything like that.
