Pops when I slice to midi

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to Ableton but I'm having a problem that I can't find the solution to anywhere else.
If I load up a sample, say a piano sample into ableton, it sounds fine and plays in whatever tempo I set. As soon as I slice to midi I get pops at the beginning of every midi note that's triggered. I have no idea how to fix it. It isn't noticeable when other instruments are playing but if I want the sample to be solo for a secttion, all you can hear is these popping notes at the start of every hit.

Am I slicing wrong? Do I need to adjust some settings? At the moment, I'm just right-clicking the audio file and slicing to new midi track.

Hoping someone can help, I really don't know where to begin. Incase it's relavent, I'm using the trial version on a an Imac.

All help gratefully received, I was looking forward to purchasing the full version but now I'm having second thoughts.

I’m no expert on slicing to MIDI, but what might be worth trying is setting the volume envelope attack in whatever the MIDI is playing to a value greater than zero. Sometimes popping is caused by a really fast attack envelope that takes the volume level from zero to very high so quickly it sounds like a pop.

Thanks so much for the suggestion, unfortunately it hasn't made any difference. I'm totally stuck and pretty upset that I can't do anythng about it.

Do you or anyone else have any other ideas? I was enjoying using it so much but now it's almost useless to me. I don't suppose it's worth trying to get in touch with Ableton is it? I wouldn't know where to begin anyway.

Any ideas welcome. I keep thinking it must be just me that I haven't done something right or that there is a setting I haven't checked.
