Looper behaviour for Clips

Post by alswainger » Tue Mar 24, 2020 3:26 pm

Toggle overdub record for audio into clips - absolutely the biggest thing on my wishlist since I first got Ableton. It would make life soooooooooooooo much easier! The looper plugin is a faff and a poor substitute for not having it as a primary function... I see people have been asking for this since 2013 - is it ever going to happen? It would revolutionise how user friendly Ableton is for live use for guitarists, vocalists etc.
It just needs to behave with the same flexibility as midi overdub does.

Yes! Been asking about this since I got Live four years ago, and there are posts going back 10 years asking for audio clip overdub. The looper is basically useless unless you have a bunch of extra screen real estate. Each session clip should be its own looper device basically. Also, please add Fixed-Length recording of clips!!
