Universal Knob for 3rd Party Plugins: Possible ???

I`d like to have a knob on any controller which will act like universal.
meaning it will control last touched Parameter/Control of any 3rd Party Plugin.
Possible?


Max4Live has a Device called ONE that does it for any Ableton Parameters, but it doesn't work for Massive, Omnisphere and all other Plugins.

The thing is i am 99% sure i saw Youtube videos were people control 3rd party knobs simply by hovering with mouse over the parameter (possibly by touching it real quick)
what do you guys say, .. is it possible ?
