Launching clips simultaneously in session view
Greetings-
Afraid my first question here might be a dumb one, but I’m new to Live, so please go easy on me.
In session view, how do you launch simultaneous clips at once? This must be incredibly obvious, but I can’t figure it out for the life of me.
Thanks!
Andy

click the play buttons on the Clips. only one Clip in a Track can be played at one time.

But that doesn’t launch them simultaneously.

Highlight them by holding shift and click. Hit Enter.

Re: Launching clips simultaneously in session view
I’m probably not phrasing my question accurately. I read the manual constantly (which, btw, it’s an outstanding resource, and hats off to its creators!), but my question is not answered in 7.2. I understand scene launch and I understand tracks/one clip at a time, but I’m still guessing there’s a way to select a bunch of clips (not necessarily a single scene) and launch them simultaneously.

Re: Launching clips simultaneously in session view
Yeah, that was my sense too. But when I do that, it highlights the whole track but not the clip. So the play button/triangle never gets activated. Know what I mean?
Upon further experimentation, however, I learned that if I command-click each clip I want and then hit enter...voila.
To the best of my knowledge, this is not covered in the manual.
Thank you!

Re: Launching clips simultaneously in session view
For mixed-scene-launching (as the Roland MC 707 offers it, for example, or Deluge, or Pyramid), for Live it is required to use ClyphX and M4L, I have been told. "Workaround" in Live Standard is to get comfortable with the "Capture and insert Scene" command, which builds a new Scene from a mixed clip selection.
I would like to have a Live inbuilt feature "mixed-scene-launch", though
