thanx alot for the offer :D

but i chainged the preset a bit for sx so now insted of arm & moniter along the top row it now has solo & f1 to f8

so i can set f1 to f8 + F1 to F8 holding shift the be 16 different key commands :) <from within sx>

i also played with some of the toggle settings so the display stays more in tune with whats activeated (Namihei is hosting this updated preset on his site)

& i can still map the 14 spere rotery controllers using the midi through as a 2nd midi input on my pc (bcr2000 needs to be in S3 mode to do this<& rember to clere the current map in the geniric remote & add only those 14 controllers;)>)

all the best as we sit & wait for huskervue :)

Great news. I'll have a look at your updated SX file. SOLO & f1-f8 seems more comfy/useful to me too.
As for the sends, in fact Dyn & Send are reversed, so the sends are the 5th (upper) button from left. As long as your sends are already routed to anything you can then control the send levels with the [Group 4] V-Pots.
Anxiously awaiting husker's work :) , as it'll facilitate things so much if we'll have visual feedback.
;)

You can contorol all volumes, pans, sends, plugin parameters,clips,scenes...and more with only 8 encoders and some buttons.
no mapping

yes
Volumes,pans,sends,plugin parameters
How are you doing that? I ve no idea how a mackie works but it sounds interesting...
Ive own a BCR and like to try what you are talking about...
I however dont found any sys ex files ...
I am a bit irritated now...

go here http://www.geocities.jp/mackicrokontrol/index.html

then click on your host name

but seeing as your in this forum it will probly be the top one "MCE with Live5"

in there there is a sysex & a pdf map that tells you what button dose what

it is brilliant!!! & if husker can get huskervue to work with it aswell it will be even better

Subz

PS, the mcu works on a flip like system, IE, if you hit the plugin button then the 8 pan controlls now controll the first 8 plugin paramaters (on the selected plugin)

it has bank up & down buttons aswell to take you to the next paramaters or preavious ones, every thing else follows this work flow

its well worth it ;)

Aha!

for those people who cant load the .syx files (like me)... try a different USB cable! I swapped mine and it now loads perfectly. If I put the old cable back on, it transmits halfway then dies. Both cables are relatively new too, which is wierd, but at least it works now!

MCE

Post by James Togher » Sun Oct 02, 2005 3:23 pm

Hi there,

I've got Cubase SX and I got the Cubase version of the MCE.

All works well, but I just can't tweak the parameter value's of the plugins!

This is what I do, right?

-select a track
-select a plugin, for example 'double delay'.
-press the 'Group 4' button
-Press the 'Plugin' button
-push the "v-select" (Group4 encoder push), I'm not sure what you exactly
mean with this, I assume I just press the encoder button I want to use to tweak a plugin parameter?
-Turn encoder button to tweak a parameter value of 'the double delay'.

This does nothing at all.

Btw, volume and pan do work.

Cheers,

James.

in cubase sx you have to select the plugin number first!

so v-pot 1 will select plugin 1 to 8 (huskervu will be a big helpin this)
v-pot 2 selects through the plugins

the rest of the v-pots are the first 6 paramaters of the plugin

then as you go up thorugh the programs all 8 will be paramaters,

good luck

it may be worth looking at the mcu manual for sx (witch i think is on there site)
