I'm trying to get some midi piped into live from Bitwig, but the timing isn't coming out exact in the recorded midi in Live (note positions are off by a up to 1/64th of a bar when recording at 105 bpm for example).

I have it set up in Bitwig so track one midi comes down virtual cable 1, track down virtual midi cable 2, and MTC, SPP, and Midi Clock all come down virtual cable 3 in live, which comes into to an unarmed midi track. I have tried with both the Midi Time Code and Midi clock methods available in Live, but the end result is the same.
Something odd I've noticed is that the tempo indicator in live fluctuates a little (105.7, 104.29, etc.) even though the tempo in Bitwig, which is sending the midi, is 105 exactly.
Can anyone suggest a configuration to get the notes (and automation/midi CC data) coming through without these small timing errors, or is this not possible even in theory, for some reason?
I understand that sent SPP data has a song position resolution of a 1/16th note (6 clock ticks = 1 sixteenth note, with SPP updated every 6 clock ticks). For that reason am I correct in supposing that it uses MTC/Midi Clock data to establish note positions rather than SPP data, as if it did use SPP data it would have a maximum resolution of 1/16th note?
