The looper jumps
The looper jumps
Hi,
I'm using Lives looper to loop my voice and on a specific track I have a strange issue I never had before. The looper itself is controlled via a midi controller.
The recording of the first bar works. When I overdub the second voice the looper jumps a few units further and skips parts of the first recording. The bar length is then no longer correct.
Any ideas?

Re: The looper jumps
I am also experiencing this problem, or a similar one.
When I record a long loop it will only play back bars 1 and the last bar of the phrase, skipping whatever is between.
I am using a softstep2 to trigger the looper and it seems to be recording the whole loop, only when I end the loop for playback does it encounter this problem. In other words it says it's recording the whole time I'm singing the phrase, then when I end loop for playback it skips on the first play through.
I've tried deleting the looper and trying another one, I tried another track, another session, I tried updating ableton10 and this hasn't worked. I recently updated to ableton10 from 9 and haven't played live since the update.
I am on Windows10.

I can't play my set until this bug is gone, not sure what to do :/

Re: The looper jumps
This is exactly the same problem. I have still not been able to solve it.
The only temporary workaround is to delete and reload the looper, then it usually works for a while.
Have you contacted the ableton support yet?

Re: The looper jumps
Are sure this not because there's a looping region in your Arrangement view?
Is it happening with a specific set or all the time?
Trorb, I deleted your topic to avoid duplicate with this one.
