Hello-
Ableton 10 Standard on Windows 10. Guessing this is a stupid question but I can't seem to figure it out and haven't been able to find the exact issue on google.
For some reason it won't let me move clips around.... When I hover over a clip I get the "hand" cursor, but when I try to click and drag, the clip won't move. I am able to change lengths of clips, add envelopes, delete, copy, paste, etc. When I grab the "top bar" of the clip, it selects the clip but won't move it. When I grab the "waveform" part of the clip and drag, it highlights the part of the clip I'm dragging over. I've rebooted the program a few times and the setting doesn't change.
Am I overlooking some simple setting that needs to be changed?!

Re: Can't Move or Drag Audio Clips within Ableton
bumping this is currently happening to me - don't understand the issue.
This project file was working just fine and i was editing, moving and working on it today but when I went reopened it I now cannot move, drag and or insert clips.
I can however nudge them with the keyboard directional keys.

I have done restarted my computer and it has fixed the issue - though an annoying bug nonethelesskalschm wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 9:42 pmbumping this is currently happening to me - don't understand the issue.

Seems to be a bug in ....something.... up to v12, so i'm not blaming Ableton yet.
However: to quickly fix this, lock Windows, then enter password to unlock it. Potentially a Ctrl-Alt-Del and Escape on the subsequent screen might fix this as well.
This will solve the problem until the next time it happens (although i had it happen exactly once so far).
