Dragging audio onto a midi track and making it quick swap to an audio track

Post by Cashyo » Tue Sep 08, 2020 9:02 pm

Hi there everyone I was recently watching a live stream where the producer dragged an audio clip onto his midi channel and it automatically swapped itself into an audio channel instead of keeping it midi and asking if you want to convert the drums, harmony etc. I was just wondering if there was some shortcut for this that has slipped by me all these years or am I just trippin heh.

Thanks a ton for any help and have a good day!

Must be a special command of some kind? Dragging audio onto a MIDI track prompts you to pick what sort of MIDI conversion you want to perform on the audio. Anybody else see anything different?

Yea that's what I was thinking as well. Maybe some special thing. Would be cool to figure it out.
