hello!
i've gone through a few audio interfaces, and they all still show up as options in Audio Preferences, even though i've removed them from my Windows pc.
is this a registry issue? they haven't been purged from Windows at some level?
or is there a way to remove all out of date options from Live Audio Preferences?
thannnnnks!

Probably you still have the management software and drivers installed. Not sure as the interfaces I have will only appear as options in Live if they are actually connected to the machine. Wouldn't have thought they would be available if they weren't';t physically attached to the system.
May help to know what interfaces these are.

what shows up that shouldn't be there is -
Audiobox ASIO Driver
Komplete Audio 6
ASIO Presonus Firestudio
Studio 192 ASIO
Studio 192 USB
StudioLive Classic USB
StudioLive Series III
any of them, when they're selected, it says "Failed to open [X DRIVER].
i'm pretty most of the StudioX stuff will disappear once i unistall the PreSonus drivers when i move to the Tascam mixer that gets here Monday, but the Komplete is... jebus. i haven't had that for 4 or 5 years?
whichhhhhhhh makes me realize it MIGHT be time to get a new pc.
even though this one seems to be doing okay.
JUST SAYING.
