Expand or collapse all tracks (vertically) in arrange view?
Expand or collapse all tracks (vertically) in arrange view?
Say you've got a mix with 30 tracks in the arrange view.
After messing around, you've most likely got some tracks collapsed (vertically) and others not. Things can get visually a bit messy.
Is there an easy way to expand or collapse all tracks (to the same vertical zoom)?

Re: Expand or collapse all tracks (vertically) in arrange view?
this is another flaky Live feature that doesnt always work as expected but...
click a track name, select all, and drag any dark track separator line up to collapse all
then drag the separator between track 1 and 2 to expand the tracks equally
(using any other track separator will keep the vertical zoom differences intact, as will using the 'track collapse' buttons)

Don't know aboot ye olde pc but on mac option/clicking on any track's expand collapse triangle open/closes all tracks. Same goes for returns/master. Pretty standard behaviour across Mac ie in Finder list view too.

yup, but if the tracks are different heights, collapsing/expanding them keeps the different heights intact.
OP asked for a way to reset the vertical zoom/heights so they're all the same.

well method can still be used by holding option key and dragging separator.. saves the extra step of selecting all. Once closed re opening holding option key and dragging between 1 and 2 will open them at exact same zoom,
that sai, i can't seem to find a way to vertically zoom *at all* with hotkeys, is this correct?
I am bitwig, pick me, pick me, i now hAs midi export!

I'm 90% sure you can now to this in Live 10... does anyone know what it is?

I hope I didn't misunderstand the question, but to Expand/Collapse all tracks is to click the 'Unfold Track Button' (the triangle in the circle next to the track name you have already been clicking probably) while holding the ALT Key. (Option on Mac)
Alternatively, click the track name then type Ctrl+A to 'select all' next drag the bottom of any track will adjust the width of all tracks. Then ALT Unfold will open/close all tracks to the saved width.
