Problems monitoring output on a Steiberg UR44

Hello,
I have problems understanding/configuring my Monitoring on my audio device.
I am a new Mac user of Ableton Live 10 that I try to configure for a Steinberg UR44. I had no problem connecting the device inputs. No problem recording 3 Tracks simultaniously in Live. What I don't get is the Monitoring thing.
As long as I choose the internal speakes everything works like it should! If I switch a Track's Monitoring on Off that sound is off. On Auto it comes in when I arm the recording... But all this does not work if I switch the Audio output device from Build-In Output to the Steinberg. I hear all the 3 inputs on the speaker connected to the Steinberg whatever I change in Live.
I am not shure if I have to configure Live or the audio interface. Sorry I am a beginner (but am seriously studying the Live Manuel.)) (sorry also for my bad english)

Maybe Im seeing this a bit too late, but maybe is worthy for future people also.

I have the exact settup as you and here is how I do monitoring:

- plug your speakers to MAIN OUTPUT on your UR44
- on Ableton route MasterOut to 1/2 and Cue Out to 3/4
- on Steinberg dspMixFx go to the MIX2 tab and activate the Headphone sign

Like this should be easy to monitor your tracks in Ableton through the Blue Headphone button below the track numbers
Make sure you have Cue mode instead of Solo mode. Check this close to the Master Volume
