White noise being randomly added to samples (wav files) longer than 4 bars?
It sounds like some people here have had similar issues to mine, but I'd like to know if anyone has experienced or might know how to solve this specific issue I've been dealing with: when going through my sample library, which is all wav files sourced mostly from vinyl that I recorded myself on a pc years ago (as well as wav files sourced from other people), I tend to hear little bits of white noise towards the end of the sample if it goes for longer than 4 bars or so. The longer the sample, the more likely I am to hear it, in other words. However, I say it's random because it doesn't happen with every longer sample, and even if I've made a set with a sample that originally had the white noise when I arranged that set, if I go back to it a few days later it might not play it with the white noise. So it doesn't happen every time with even the files. I'm using a mac now, and have only began having this issue since I've been using this particular mac (a macbook pro from 2015ish with osx mojave). I've never experienced this problem on my previous mac either, when I was using Live 8 and then 9 at that time. I was previously using Live 9 on this mac and that's when I noticed this issue popping up (I took a lengthy hiatus from making beats for a while, so I just started using 9 at the beginning of this year again and then upgraded to 10 this past month). Since upgrading to 10, the issue persists in the same way it did with 9. Any ideas on what I can do?

Any plugins being used at all on any tracks? Check as some plugins do that if they are unauthorised or running as demo's.
Live 11, M1 Mac Mini, Push 2, Scarlett 18i20 & ADA8200, Softube Console 1 Mk2, Deepmind12, Hydrasynth, Cobalt 8M, Moog Subsequent 25, IK Uno Synth Pro, Plethora X3, Nord Drum 3P

No plugins, but I forgot to mention that I am using an external drive for my samples.Mark Williams wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 7:44 amAny plugins being used at all on any tracks? Check as some plugins do that if they are unauthorised or running as demo's.

Any luck on this? Im running a 2015 MacBook Pro and just now having this issue on 10 and 11. I can bring the samples in at first and they seem fine. then after 4 mins or so the white noise just comes out of no where. A lot of times on empty clips. but its all randomly. Again no plugins what so ever on anything.
