Projects are getting deleted

It's amazing how admin lets these people spew garbage in here. UAD forum much more professional.

Just face facts, Ableton does not delete projects, the user deletes projects, simple as that. You may think its garbage, but then again, by your own admission, you do not know what your doing, and will not listen to anyone else. Myself and others have told you the same answer. Go back to the UAD forums then, dont let the door hit ya on way out.

Is it possible to block people in this forum? This guy is a complete ass who starts arguments with people looking for suggestions. I never said Ableton is deleting my projects or that I don't know what I'm doing. I'm looking for feedback from people who might have a clue what's going on. When I go to the Mac deleted folder, they are there and I am sure I am not deleting them.
Not sure if there is a setting or something that is causing this.
I don't even know how to delete a project.

I can tell you the answer, but you will not like it, and refuse to believe the reason, its called USER ERROR. Once you have saved an Ableton project, Ableton does not delete it upon its own. As for you other comments, I have posted your own words, just to help you, with reading your own comments before making statements.

Maybe you should try cutting out the personal attacks, just because its the answer you do not want to hear, doesnt make it wrong.

Its already been pointed pointed out to you by others here, that something else is going on, within your setup, but you offer no further information other than your on a mac,, but again, you prefer to attack & abuse people.

I will add to the voices that Live does not delete Projects.
The only files that are moved to trash bin are the backup .als files.
You want help but provided no screenshots, no specifications, no OS version, no Live version and no example or steps to reproduce your issue.

All I can read from you is shitting on another user and opposite claims that you don't know, and that you do know what you are doing.

OP, are you sure you're not just seeing the outdated back up files Live regularly makes being put into your trash? It only keeps the latest ten, and it could be the older ones you are seeing being deleted.

I swear that several times the live.set I was working on was deleted after a crash of Live. I dont say it 's Live which deleted them (maybe Max, windows..whatever...) but it's a simple fact i saw several time. Point. It's a just a simple fact. I dont want to persuade anyone.
I develop some M4l devices and for my personal project I have to work with standalone maxmsp patch in the same time..maybe the problem is there...anyway, sometimes after a live crash : my .als is gone.

The only thing Live deletes are oldest backups once it reaches more than 10 backups of the set and these have the timestamp in brackets. Remember of course that Ableton does not auto-save.

I'm guessing it might be google docs trying to sync between two computers, one with the projects and one without, but I could be wrong.

It is not Live, only thing that happens is the .als not appear in Live's browser, but the file is still in the disk.

If you investigate causes outside Live you will find the culprit much faster.

No, I reckon you are prob on the right track since reading through all the BS here, it is correct that Live (like any application) will not directly delete a file, more likely the OS or another application that may do it.

It is recommended to NEVER work on projects direct from any live-sync location such as Dropbox or GDrive and Ableton even have a tech doc about this tho I CBF looking for it but the short long of it is that as you save projects it may be synched as you save and sometimes can become locked or even corrupt as both the sync software and Live are trying to use the files. It can create issues for sure so switch off your sync when you use Live and use it only when not running Live. Adds additional interrupts while you work too which can cause possibly glitches. I created a script to launch Live and kill all these kinds of processes then restart them when Live closes. Never an issue.
