Hi,
I'm currently working on a video sound design and music project, and I don't seem to be able to get ableton to read the .mp4 file I'm throwing in the timeline correctly.
I followed the Ableton tutorial on using video I found on the following link : https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/artic ... sing-Video
I installed MatroskaSplitter as explained in the guide and I'm able to put the video in the timeline without an error message, I get the sound of the video but video-wise it's just a black screen... I don't really know what else I can do, hence I'm coming here looking for your help. I'm using windows 10 64 bits.
Any ideas ?

Have you selected integrated graphics to run with Live and not an external GPU such as Nvidia? That often helps
Re: Video not working in Ableton Live 10
First rule: avoid .mp4 in Live.
That's not what the KB article you linked says, I know. But I've worked on hundreds videos in Live so you can trust me. It seems to be better with .mp4 since the video playback engine update in L10, but for your peace of mind, just use something else.
I can't help you more as I'm not a Windows user and there's definitely issues with it to get video working, but there's several topics in the forum that you can search for detailed informations.

Hi there,
Have you tried adding ffdshow to the mix? This youtube clip was helpful (though I do still have a weird unresolved issue... upside down video!!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gn0-19IZYns
Does anyone know how to resolve my upside down video issue?
Thanks.
Pete
