Super stoked about upgrading to 11, although to be honest the multi-clip MIDI editing was the single most exciting and most important feature to my workflow that got me to pull the trigger. I'm having an issue where I'm getting the same message I was getting in Live 10 when I tried to open more than 8 clips in one piano roll (e.g., "The MIDI note editor is not available. You can only edit up to 8 clips."). In the new features of 11 on the Ableton site it said: "Edit loops of multiple clips simultaneously, focus on a single clip in context and easily transpose entire arrangements from one piano roll."
Considering that no "entire arrangement" I can imagine would only have 8 MIDI clips total, I can't help but wondering (and crossing my fingers tightly AF) that the error message I'm getting is a bug of some sort...I currently have sessions filled with hundreds of MIDI clips with chords, progressions, and melodic fragments that I was hoping Ableton 11 would save me from having to edit individually as I've been doing (similar to the multi-region MIDI editing functionality Logic has now albeit without the session view massive superiority of Live).
Anyone else experiencing (or not experiencing) the same issue?
