Crackling and popping.
Hey there, I have been trouble shooting for weeks now someone PLEASE HELP!!!! . I purchased a high end gaming PC to try to solve this problem but it still persists. Every single time I record a new track the playback pops and crackles. I understand this is a common problem and I have seen every single walk through on the subject on You tube and its been somewhat helpful but it has not solved the problem. I have been through every possible buffer size variation, I have been put in countless hours troubleshooting trying to resolve this. For the love everything I just want to make music then hear what I made. Is it my audio Interface ? Scarlett Solo 2nd gen ? My speakers are Edifiers, my microphone is a Behringer B-1, my midi is an Alesis v161 Is there a device I can buy to ix this issue ? I have exhausted any information I can find from Google or Youtube please help!

Hi potterawesome81, sorry to hear about your troubles!
By PC I assume you mean a Windows machine? What Windows version?
Also, are you using Focusrite ASIO drivers when you use Ableton Live? Which version?

Enure you are using the Correct Focusrite driver for your generation Scarlett, Scarlett MUST be plugged into its own usb port NOT via a hub. Focusrite Asio USB selected within Ableton Audio?

I had that problem a few days ago with a new computer. Turns out I had selected a drum set that is called 45 Vinyl, yep it has pops and cracks just like a 45 rpm record. Switched drum sets, no pops..
