Why is [Midi From] either All or 1?

Post by N2Astral » Fri Mar 19, 2021 11:33 pm

My setup is mostly hardware and therefore I run into alot of midi feedback loops in ableton which sometimes freezes/glitches my gear if I'm absent minded enough to not turn off [MIDI FROM:all] off. Seems like after 11 versions, the dropdown for [MIDI FROM] would have a checkbox list to multiselect available midi inputs rather than accept all or accept one conditional.

Same problem here
I wonder if there are more people with this limitation so we could open a suggestion in the beta forum

easy way round this is to add a midi track for each input, set each to receive a different input, and forward all these tracks' midi outputs to another midi track that receives all inputs.
