Motu mk5 and Live 11 audio input distorted

Hi,

recently, I bought Motu Ultralite mk5 and I connected the device to Expert sleepers ES-3 and ES-6. I try to record my modular into Ableton11 using CV devices but the problem is after some minutes of recording the sound from modular start to distort with very high level of noise and I have to close and reopen the session. But it happens all the time! I have to say that I tried to increase Buffer size but it didn't help.
I'm not sure if it's related to the device and the driver or Ableton11 !

Check if you experience the same issue when you use the Motu Console application without Ableton and let it play for some minutes...

What OS are you on? Had the same problem with MK4 & Live 10 with MacOS Mojave, the fix was to check or uncheck the "computer volume controls" in the Motu Pro Audio Control.
I now run MacOS Catalina and had no issues with both Live 10 and 11.

Hi,

I am curious if you resolved your issue. Just purchased the MK5 too.

On my end I spent a few hours trying to actually get sound arriving to Ableton.

I could send Midi in/out from Live through the MK5 and to my Synth.

Audio runs through to the Motu, coming out of main / headphone outputs of the MK5 (and CM5 software), but Ableton doesn't receive any audio. I know how this works in the preferences, tried everything. Could it be the OS ? Tried Live 11 and 10.

As I am new to Motu sound cards maybe I missed something.

Also, I managed to install the card on an intel Chip, the M1 didn't want the installer although Motu says "it works". Well it doesn't.

Anyways, I'd like to resolve the sound issue first (any tips welcome I think I tried it all)

The intel computer runs on 11.2.2 Big Sur / 2,3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9.

Got a return from Motu, looks like they are working on bug fixes, might worth a try and reach out to them.

I could fix bugs by reinstalling and upgrading OS Big Sur to latest version.
