Warp multiple tracks without steady beat in the beginning

Post by stefanpotiau » Fri Oct 08, 2021 10:02 am

Hi,

I have some stems where the click starts only in bar 4 or later. The intro is free.
Can't set the 1.1.1 starting point when multiple tracks are selected. Any ideas?
I have Live 10.

Thanks!

Stef

If you know the BPM you can place any file then enable Warp, if the file is the same BPM as the Set then the audio is not changed (unless you set Warp to Complex), then you can put negative values in Start, like -4 bars. After you can use Consolidate or Freeze/Flatten.

To Warp multiple files at the same time, the source audio files (not Audio Clips) need to be the same length, you can use Consolidate or Freeze/Flatten for that too (or Crop Clip if you shortened).

Or you can try put the files unwarped (if it is possible to place the intro-less file manually aligned with the other stems) then re-export them with the same length.

Resampling is another caveman approach, maybe needs Loop/Punch Recording.
