Using Absynth 3 with Ableton V.5
Using Absynth 3 with Ableton V.5
Hmmm....I can't seem to get Absynth 3 to work with Ableton.
does anyone else here use Absynth? am I retarded?
I've used Battery 2 with Ableton fine. I would assume Absynth would work fine as they are both made by Native Instruments.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated
Thanx

it's not registering as a VST. I have installed dozens of VSTi and VST effects in the past with no problems at all.
of course I "re-scan" in options to pick up the VST and it is installed in my VST folder, but nothing is registering
what could be the problem? you said you use it, so it's obviously compatible.
me so confused

I"m also using AB3 and Live 5 without any probs.... maybe you have something in your VST folder that is conflicting with AB3 and Live. Have you tried using a Live VST custom folder? i.e not a folder shared with Steinberg or whatever. Set one up and put the Absynth 3 Dll"s only in there, point Live at the new folder, re-scan and see what happens...... if Live still does not see Absynth 3 then I guess you can try a re-install of both apps.
Sorry, apart from that possibly retarded suggestion I can"t see what the problem could be.... likesay, no probs here.
Good luck.

I have also found that having the VST and AU versions in their respective folders at the same time can cause a few problems on the Mac.specialpop wrote:if you are on a mac install the au version and try that. that's what i'm doing. i know that kontakt works better in ableton when you us the au version as opposd to the vst.
