Adding themes to Live 11 Under macOS Big Sur

Post by carlcaulkett » Fri Oct 29, 2021 8:20 pm

I've just got a new Mac Mini which is running macOS Big Sur. I've tried adding the Discord theme to the app in the usual way, but a new Big Sur security feature is kicking in and it won't let me open a modified application file.

This is supposed to be the way to open an otherwise disabled app, but it doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas, any one?

I had to disable Big Sur's Gatekeeper using the terminal command: `sudo spctl --master-disable`
If you do this, the option for controlling this would now appear in System Preferences -> Security + Privacy -> Genera so you can switch Gatekeeper back on for safety.l

Never had any security errors installing themes on Big Sur. Mine all got wiped out after the last update, but just reinstalled them inside the app in Monterey, Live opens perfectly fine and I just flipped through about 20 themes with no problem.
