New MIDI assign function- regarding global quantise

In Live 5, you can assign MIDI/QUERTY keys to the global quantise, moving it up or down. This is good, but to be able to instantly jump to a value would be getter e.g. 1 MIDI note switches to 1/8, another note to 1 bar etc. This would be useful for doing fills on the fly, where a higher resolution is temporarily set, then put back to 1 bar agian for normal dropping in & out of clips

i do this all the time using CC's.

asing CC 1 for example to GLobal Q.

say there are 16 quantize values possoible.

divide 128 / 16 = 8.

so when u send CC 1, every value increment of 8 changes the Global Q.

so, roughly.... 0-8 = 1/32
9-16 = 1/32 T
17-24 = 1/16
25-32 - 1/16 T

etc, etc.

so i figure out what values are needed for the Q i want, maybe 1/8 and 1 bar as u said.
program two different midi controllers to the same CC and with ranges or set values to those two.

got it?

buttons preferrable, but even a knob like on uc33 is fine. one knob's value may be 41-48 (or 41-41, etc) and the other 73-80, or any two numers in that range.

cheers for the Ben Blue. I have a couple of BCR200's on the way, so will have a crack at assigning the buttons to the global quantise values.

man, ive been screaming it loud - u cn do awesome friggin shit with creative programming on the BCR. i mean, its friggin insane.

isee SO many features on the wishlist that i can already do! just dont always have time to reply to them.

wait till u try BCR + Bomes' translator. SICK SICK shit u cant even imagine.
