hard disk indicator light

in beta ver.5.08 only the hard disk indicator light comes on all the time.i played the same project on any other ver.and its fine.there is no crackling or anything when it lights up,but it does it quite frequently.

powerbook 1.5 ghz.512megs/ram 60gigsharddrive

on which operating system do you use Live?
In which other version do you tried this Live set too? Other beta, if yes which ones exactly?

i am using os x 10.3
it only seems to be doing it on the latest beta.ver 5.08.

im noticing that it only happens during one part of the track.oddly enough during a breakdown

I notice the same behavior from all the betas including b8....no dropouts or glitches though.

I'm running OS X 10.4.2... and did a set last night with the same material I've used in the previous betas and had the disk light go on as well. I only had three clips playing as well and my CPU usage was around 30%...

It was weird. So, same issue, I guess as reported by John Gordon.

Hi folks,

does this seem to happen only with certain Live sets or with certain effects / instruments?
Does anybody of you has a way to reproduce this?

ive got no effects on at all when it happens.i didnt hear it before,but it is making a crackling sound when this occurs.

i saw this again this weekend. i don't see it during normal playback. just when creating songs in session view and previewing samples in the lefthand pane. the sound breaks up, the sample stops playing etc.

i hadn't seen it in a while. i'll keep experimenting and see what i can come up with as far as reproducibility.

get it aswell and already wondered myself about,even when there is not much streaming to do for my disk....and i´m running live 5.0.2 with xp sp1 on 7200rpm disk....

but maybe it shall indicate as the beat or the bpm as alittle gimmick of the programmers...who knows...keep up smilling friends...=)
