Hi everyone,
I've seen posts about this online but I haven't seen a solution. I also searched the forum but couldn't find a post, although I'm sure this must have come up before.
I've had a Push 2 for a few months now and recently it has randomly started changing pitch when using drum racks. At first it sounds sped up but I think it's actually just the pitch of certain sounds, nothing goes out of sync.
I used to quit live and open the file to correct the pitch, then discovered I could delete the channel and then apple Z to get it back but this is annoying. It could strike at anytime.
The USB is plugged directly into the mac and not through a hub. It is plugged into the mains. I am using a MAC with OS Mojave
Does anyone know the solution to this? Thanks
Sean
Push 2 randomly changing pitch
Re: Push 2 randomly changing pitch
Does this issue persist if you *don't* have the Device parameters view up on the top display? (Such as if you're in Clip view?)
If you don't have the issue then, maybe you have an encoder (knob) that's a bit touchy, and is adjusting the pitch parameter? You might want to just spend some time spinning them various directions with the Push off to try to eliminate any scratchiness that may be there.
Another way to check for this - I think - would be to exit Ableton, put the device into User Mode, and run a MIDI Monitor program to look for activity. Move the knobs, see what you get, and then let it sit - look for unexpected activity!

Thanks for the reply.
I haven't really noticed what view I am in when it happens. I'll check out the points you mentioned and let you know if it solves it.
Cheers!
