One Audio Track in DJ Mix suddenly delayed.....&more delayed

Post by DefBringa » Sun Sep 18, 2005 10:33 pm

hi guys,

just experienced a strange problem.

i am constantly working on a dj mixing session with live 5.

while working on two songs mixing into each other on track 10 & 11 i listened back to a point where songs on track 6 and 7 mixed and noticed they wre out of sync.

after some time i noticed that the song on track 7 was suddenly delayed although i did not do any changes in the audio clip, nor the channel itself whatsoever. also there is no plugin inserted that could delay the track.

so i made use of the track delay, set it to 65ms and everything was fine again.

today i experienced the same problem again.
again i did not do anaything with this track 7 but suddenly the very same song being played back on track 7 was delayed even more. i now had to set the delay to 245ms to have it synced again.

i really dont know where this is coming from and why but somehow i had the feeling that i was saving self contained before the problem occured but im not really sure.

anyone having a clue on how to fix this or any othe rhelp ?

thanks a lot
d

arjanpetersen,

could you sent me a short selfcontained Live set that demonstrates this issue?

regards,
Alex

Have you checked the pos of the loopbraces when totally zooming in.
Are they a few ticks delayed?

I´ve had a lot of times this happened until the cliptransport has been changed in L5b8.

Not checked in 5.0.2 yet, but in L5b8 the transport feeled already more securing.

thnx for reply!

To explain it more in detail:

What i hear is a half-beat behind what i see. So the track is warped fine... the beats are corresponding with the warpline 1.1.1 is the first beat. But after playing for a while this is shifted. What i hear is not corresponding, with the line following the sample in the clip view. Remember it is all audio.

@alex.... what do i have to send you and where to?
