Plugins Not Recognized since update
Plugins Not Recognized since update
Hello,
I updated to Ableton 11.1.1 today (Mac) and since then I have some vst2 plugins not recognized anymore:
-Soundtoys suite
-Izotope trash2
-Aphex Vintage
I am pointing to the right directory (/Library/Audio/Plugins/VST) and tried the usual alt-scan but they are still not showing up.
Everything was working fine before update.
Any ideas ?
Thanks for your help.

M1 mac?
If M1 then intel VST2 will not show up, better off using AU.

Re: Plugins Not Recognized since update
Then non native VST2s will not show, use the AUs instead, and update to latest versions of your plugins.

Re: Plugins Not Recognized since update
Soundtoys latest update fixed it for these plugins but Izotope trash2 and Aphex Vintage are still not working, I wonder why everything was working fine before updating ?
Did the latest Ableton version (11.1.1) change things ?

Re: Plugins Not Recognized since update
I believe that is the version that runs native on M1 chips, and no longer uses Rosetta. If you aren't concerned with Live running nativly on M1 (for better performance) you can go to your Applications folder, right click on Ableton Live, and select Get Info. About 1/2 way down is an option to Open using Rosetta. Check that box and try restarting Live and see if your missing plugins show up.
I had to update several of mine in order to get the VSTs to show up in the latest version of Live using an M1 Mac. I still have a couple that do not and I'm not sure they will ever get updated.

11.1.1 Release Notes
New features and improvements:
The FANTOM control surface script will now be automatically configured for FANTOM 06, 07, and 08 users.
11.1 added Sillicon support, my Ableton's plugins were working fine with version 11.1 it is just since 11.1.1 that I have issues and I don't see any major updates.. that's weird maybe I should try to reinstall Ableton.
