Arrangement view tempo

Post by mattclarkmixer » Tue May 03, 2022 4:06 am

I have audio clips in arrangement view for backing tracks. I'm using the tempo automation on the master track to change with each song.

However when it goes to a new tempo the global tempo doesn't change and thus the clips aren't lined up with bar lines. They do play at the correct tempo. I have warping turned off on each clip and my prefs have warping off as well.

I want to add locations like verse, chorus, etc. but since the bars don't line up with the clips this is difficult. How can I fix? Tia

What do you mean? You should have a small red circle at the tempo display, and this should update to the new tempo, causing the playhead to change speed accordingly.
Maybe you've touched the tempo manually and therefore disabled temporarily the automation?
If the icon with the left-pointing arrow at the top is orange, then that would be it. Click it to turn it off so automation takes over and all audio files line up with the grid (provided they were recorded at the same tempo the automation is changing to).

That's exactly what I did. Thanks for your help!
