Tracks are out of sync after exporting to a new project for mixdown

Post by DLPR » Sat Feb 15, 2020 11:39 pm

I'm currently working on a project in Ableton Live 10, and want to convert all the midi tracks to audio and export them to a new project file for mixing. I'm running into an issue where when I upload all the stems into a new project file, they're way out of sync from where they were in the original project, and it is a real hassle to bounce between projects and see where they all should go. I'm especially having trouble syncing warped samples to tracks that were MIDI in the original project.

In every tutorial I've watched, all the converted stems upload perfectly in sync how they were in the original file. Is there an easier way to get them all in their place other than manually moving them around?

That's because you probably have it set in the options to "warp long files" when you drag them in - Click on each clip and turn off "warp" button and then you will have to manually pull the front of each clip. In times like these I drag all the clips to bar 5 so that I can pull the front of each of them back to the normal timing and then realign them up to the beat and then drag them all back to the one if needed. You'll figure it out.

I have the exact same issue. It is the first time this has happened. On Live 10, no problems. Ableton 11 has been a nightmare. I have "auto warp long samples" OFF. Song sounds fine in arrangement and session modes. Only problematic when converted to .wav file and plays out of time.

A project of mine has just started doing this and I have no idea why.

Anyone ever discover anything about it?
