OH MY GOD I HATE M-AUDIO.

Post by summersc2002 » Sun Oct 09, 2005 4:56 am

I just recieved my keystation pro 88 in the mail yesterday and was very excited to start playing with it. To my dissapointment, I opened the box to see one of the keys was sunken in. I wiggled it around and it snapped back in. Everything seemed fine until I was playing some notes on it an hour later, when the same key sunk in again. Again, I had to wiggle it in place, so now everytime I want to play that key, I have to stop what I'm doing and re-allign that BASTARD FUCKING KEY , THAT WANTS TO BE DIFFICULT. I just emailed digitraxx and told them what has happened. Im really excited because I live in a dorm on the 7th floor and our building has no fucking elevators, so I get to carry that 4.5ft , 50lb keyboard back down the stairs and carry it up again a week later. All because, m-audio doesnt decide to test out their piece of shit equipment.

YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT!

Don't blame M-Audio for the broken key, blame God for forgetting to give you a brain.

Nah-

Maudio products have a pretty %50 reputation from people who own their products.
YOu apparently haven't gone through %50 percent of the common developmental phases, hitherto.

All this stuff usually gets produced in china...

That is very cheap because nobody touches the stuff before it gets in the box. No supervisors during production aso.
The 15% returns are in the calculation...
That is cheaper than installing cervice centers all around the world or test any of the arriving units.

So you better test in the shop

Maybe it is your luck, better now then when warranty is gone. You can still exchange it for a real keyboard. M audio is not Mercedes of music industry, they are nicely priced but you cannot expect audiophile to be like RME which costs 4x more. Your mistake is to buy music instrument by mail order, I liked that model on M audio website but then tried it in a shop and it was clear it is "cheap", that key problemes bound to happen. Not all chinese made products are bad, Kurzweil are good and you can get one for 3rd of a price under CME name, however dont try to carry it upstairs by yourself

lots of hate from m-audio round these parts. I used to sell m-audio gear and have found it to be ultra reliable and this is going back to when they were called midiman and only did midi interfaces

. maybe they just send all the shite to the US :D

I think it's just easier to make midi interfaces than ultra low latency audio devices for modern operating systems. Just a guess.
