Yeah this is something Ive always wanted as well, but not because im an expert musician...maybe someday. Either way, during my natural workflow, I regularly feel this functionality lacking while progressing through a track.

Re: Select which clips fire on Scene Launch
It is not much fun to tweak the ignorant, especially those who can't play "Autumn Leaves" at all.....
Nevertheless it is our duty to humanity and to civilization; our "Musicians' Burden" as it were.....
Is just that for those of us who can see how much it would increase Ableton's value and our own workflow (especially in live performance", and it is such a small addition from a programming perspective, it is really frustrating that it hasn't been in Live from day 1.
It really makes me wonder about Ableton's musicianship, or what are they THINKING to ignore such a simple but important feature....

I've tried playing autumn leaves but they just made a sort of soft squishy sound

Re: Select which clips fire on Scene Launch
I'm really surprised this hasn't been implemented. I'm also surprised by why someone would actually NOT want this feature. (it wouldn't affect them if they never used it anyway) It would be so simple and so powerful.

Hi from the future...
Still not there, is it?
Could we have it, please!
Any workarounds?

John Coltrane was the most humble guy you could imagine. And he was a genius (and he knew a bit about circle of fifths by the way)...
I think being so arrogant and whining on a forum about what a program doesn't do (like if whining will magically make the feature exist) says a lot about what kind of artist one can be...
Like Chapelier Fou, I'm agree with your request but find your attitude counter-productive (if not unbearable).
P.S. : by the way, you'll find today maybe 50 times more young musicians knowing perfectly the jazz theory than in the 60's. Just because there was not so much schools of music at this time compared to today (Ableton Live didn't kill the Berkeley School of Music). It doesn't make the jazz today better than in the 60's, and knowing how to play Autumn leaves doesn't make you a good musician (playing the chord progression of Autumn Leaves is not rocket science. Playing it like Miles and Cannonball Adderley is art. Are you an artist or are you beginning your 2nd year of school of music and just are trying to show off ?)

Let’s not go stirring the pot of a 9 year old thread please, a lot has changed here on the forums since this was a new thread.
