So to surmise:
CRACKS: BAD!
LEGIT: GOOD!
Crack users who use cracks with not intention of getting the original: BAD
Crack users who use cracks to test a packages potential before they buy the original, due to demo limitiations: Technically BAD-ISH, realistically... LOGICAL
Crack users who migrated to the Legit copy, who now preach about how bad crack users are : THE WORST!
Can we all get some sleep now....

Reminds me of those former addicts: former smokers who can't tolerate smoke etc...Freakybeatz wrote:So to surmise:

I was too, curious about how, after the former cracker post, people would react...

did ANY of you actually read my post, or did you just assume I was starting a fight?
I could care less about someone "stealing" Live, but the stupidity that must be present to state that you hadnt even bought it, yet you still needed help.
Please, I really dont give a fuck what help this provides ableton, or myself, or you.
Nor do I give a fuck about all of your opinions.
And whats more, I didnt make any judgements on the "use of cracks."
Just the complete lack of common sense of someone, to announce on the products own forum, that they are still using a crack.
So fuck off, all y'all, and while you're at it, get some reading glasses.
here are my words.
"While I can understand using the software first before buying, I'm not gonna defend pure fucking stupidity."
Anyone else have any shit to talk?

so, i installed my new cycocomputer on my bicycle, only to realize that my tires were beginning to be worn down to the wire sidewall (like a real man). drove out to get the tires, only to realize when i got home that my rear rim was mashed.... so, ive spent a total of 400$ today on bike parts and you know what? its raining now. what does this have to do with anything?
nothing, i own ableton.
do you seek happiness, or do you seek pleasure?
i would keep going, but i have a feeling i would be seeking pleasure, and i think that might be wrong in this case. pleasure from someone elses shortcomings shouldnt be something you seek. instead, im going to seek happiness.
look, its stopped raining.

do you seek happiness, or do you seek pleasure?
there is a difference between wanting to run a clean install after going "good" and coming to the forum for help, and coming over looking for help on how to use something i havent bought. ive never sought out help on the program here. why, because that would be wrong, specifically to people like you.I could care less about someone "stealing" Live, but the stupidity that must be present to state that you hadnt even bought it, yet you still needed help.

accepting the problem will only make it go away.

I though this whole forum was a place for views, ideas and opinions!!! You have one...why cant we...?My mistake...
Plus I already have reading glasses, so theres no need to be "sightist"..
Realistically though, stripping back obviously years of pent up anger, frustration and a certain amount of outright hostility, your initial post (which I did read, with my glasses on) makes the point, my suggestion is put down the machete, step away from the computer and take a chill pill before typing.
As my previous post simply states, we all know the moral and ethical implications when it comes to cracked software use, because its common sense and been discussed to death, so why do people get so gosh, darn, diddly, dang, frustrated at such a dead discussion...???
The reason I wrote here was the initial posters almost strange outright admittance to the fact that he was going legit because his "software reminded him he still hadnt purchased it" (Is that another way of saying the time limit crack kicked in...?)and not because he was doing the right thing out of respect for ableton, the law and the simple fact that LIVE is worth every penny if hes been using it long enough for the "reminder" to pop up, which is why I award this topics poster, "Really badly worded and probably not the most sensible post" of the year award.
Freaky....

What happens when it doesnt open after 3 months use....?
