Track info should be on the left.
For the simple reason that that's where your mouse is most of the time when editing racks or whatever.
So the trip is further with your mouse or pen tablet to the right than it is to go up.

I don't think you're going to see this. I think they're happy with the basic design. That said, I'd also prefer it on the left with the browsers and stuff on the right. But like other odd Live stuff, I've just adapted and stopped worrying about it. It's most jarring when you first start out.

It's never going to happen.

I hope Ableton considers this bc this is very important, some ppl don't even realize how important it is until they notice it lol. It took me going in back in logic to notice Oh that's what's weird about Ableton lol. Its actually a turn off when you notice it.
Workflow wise everything starts from left to right but the only thing on the right is the track info lol.
Workflow wise it makes more sense to ATLEAST make it an option for users to put the track info on the left bc naturally the right is always the ending or going towards the ending of something so Our brain is wired that way so it would make a big difference in a good way bc it feels more natural.
Most of EVERYTHING you do is on the left side anyway. It seems small but would make a big difference I guarantee.
Again please just put it as a customizable option at least.

This makes actually no sense. I have kind of just taken this as granted since getting into music production 20 years ago, it's only just now occurring to me that this makes absolutely 0 sense, and I cannot get it out of my head.
All the tools you might drag into a channel via the header are on the left in the browser, all plugins are left aligned, meaning that if not for the headers being on the right you could live your whole life on the left side except for when doing actual arrangement tasks. Romance language speakers read left to right, this forces this bizarre left and right focus because the eyes anchor on the right side of the screen, or, where the 'end of your song is', it's like starting a sentence from the right, and then the rest of the sentence continues and ends from the left.
There literally is one singular argument which is that there is meant to get the arrangement slightly closer to the browser, that would only makes sense if people spend more time dragging samples into arrangement than they do mixing or putting mix tools, midi instruments, or literally anything else on tracks... which is obviously not the case.
Instead, we are constantly crossing the middle arrangement section to do major mix tasks, instead of leaving the left side for mix (tools, track headers, mute, solo, sends, gain), and the right side for arrangement/timeline. wtf?
