Hm, thanks for reminding me Adam. I got the hang of my own thread here.

I hear you Conny. I'm not in the same boat psychologically speaking, my road is different from yours and I'm a bit younger, 31, but laziness and unability of moving are things that make me lost in the dark, whilst I would rather be aware and straight-minded.
Feels like it's sometimes hard to remember lessons I've learnt all by myself, only to discover later that I've forgotten them.
I learnt that regrets don't help in that case.
Balance is e key word that makes me alive, now. I'm ready to be surprised.

One chinese proverb I always remember: Live like its the last day of your life, and as if you will be alive for a 1000 years.
thanks, that's exactly true - I say that alot myself but it's the hardest to remember when the bill trolls are hacking at your door....

True. I don't want to be old and dying and regretting my life. Horror.

"I turn and walk away then I come 'round again
It looks as though tomorrow I'll do pretty much the same.

I must turn down your offer but I'd like to ask a break
You know I'm ready to give everything for anything I take.

Someone called my name you know I turned around to see
It was midnight in the Mission and the bells were not for me.

Ten years ago, I walked this street my dreams were riding tall
Tonight I would be thankful Lord, for any dream at all.

Some folks would be happy just to have one dream come true
But everything you gather is just more that you can lose.

All the things I planned to do I only did half way
Tomorrow will be Sunday born of rainy Saturday.

There's some satisfaction in the San Francisco rain
No matter what comes down the Mission always looks the same.

Come again, walking along in the Mission in the rain"

"The world is like a ride in an amusement park and when you choose to go on it you think it's real, because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and around and around and it has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud. And it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question, is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, and they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because... this is just a ride."

.. or was that Nike .. wait ...

heh, for some reason the "just do it" thing rubs me the wrong way.
maybe its cause its so short and concise, or maybe cause i just equate it with Nike.

i was kidding. actually.. :)
