Compressor Side Chain Clicks.. Bug?

Post by ItsPQS » Wed Mar 01, 2023 4:46 am

Here's a video demonstrating what the current compressor sounds like whenever I sidechain a bass.

I recently also found out about Live 8's compressor which produces a MUCH cleaner result on low end.

I basically use that old compressor and as soon as i hit the "upgrade" button it changes it to the new algorithm which create the clicks and pops.

Please add a way to change the types of compressors.

Might have something to do with the newer algorithm and the relative attack time. Have you tried tweaking the attack when you use the upgraded compressor? Yours is set super fast.

Yeah, I've tried pretty much everything I've read online at this point, but still end up with those weird pops. Seems to me like it's the new algorithm doing its thing, which I'm not a fan of for this type of situation.
