Indeed it shows blue for a fraction of a second, blue for overdub... but don't think it did the same with a previous version of Live 11 Intro. Anyway I think this is a real bug ! If I want to stop I surely don't mean to overdub!

looper effect records noise on double click to Stop
When using the Looper to record a microphone I assigned the main button (Record/Stop/Overdub) to a midi pedal. I realise now that whenever I double click to Stop, the looper records one click from the pedal at the point where I stopped.
Indeed it shows blue for a fraction of a second, blue for overdub... but don't think it did the same with a previous version of Live 11 Intro. Anyway I think this is a real bug ! If I want to stop I surely don't mean to overdub!

Re: looper effect records noise on double click to Stop
Hi,
Not sure if i understood you correctly, but:
You can change the behavior of the looper, so that it plays after recording, instead of going into overdub mode. You have to change the overdub symbol to the play symbol by clicking on it.
Hope that helps.

Re: looper effect records noise on double click to Stop
It was on play already.
again: After having recorded, from a stop position you hit play, listen a while, then double click to stop. The second click (a tap on a midi pedal) is recorded as overdub.
So if you listen and stop multiple times with some background noise going on, that noise will be recorded for a fraction of second between the 1st and 2nd click (of the double-tap to Stop), hence the more times you Play (and Stop playing) your loop, the dirtier it will become.
I am aware I could use a separate midi assignment to stop (or undo), but that would be a waste of midi pedals, as a workaround to a buggy function.
It must be a bug! (at least for recording a mic... although I realise it may pass unnoticed for isolated instruments)

Code: Select all
"if double-click; then Stop & undo overdub"
