Push3S power cable specification

Post by RuNZ » Sun Jun 11, 2023 1:00 pm

I tried to find the technical specifications for this online but it wasn't anywhere obvious I could see. What is the diameter and center polarity for the power plug on Push3(S)? Mine is on it's way so I can't check it directly, and I want to get a cable to run it from my power bank without using a usb port - looking at the one below:

For the voltage/current the manual says 20V/3A - https://www.ableton.com/en/push/manual/

But I was asking about the diameter and polarity of the connector

20v 1,25A is what the wall plug shows

My Push 3 Standalone PSU is marked as a "65W Power Supply" with an output of 20V 3.25A 65W.

The Push itself is marked with 20V 3A so I don't know where you're getting the information.

The male connector seems to be the same size as the previous Push (although that's 12V). I've just tried interchanging them and they both fit either socket. Dimensions for the previous PSU are apparently 5.5mm O/D, 2.5mm I/D. The barrel length on the new one is slightly shorter.

I can confirm this. I'm using a 2.5mm right angle adapter without issue.

According to the online manual, center polarity is plus.

Can you possibly share a link to the 90 degree adapter you are using? I tried buying a few 90 degree adapters for the Push 2, and though they had the right dims on paper and looked the same, the internal diameter was slightly different and didn’t fit.

To be honest, I don't know. I have had a collection of adapters/connectors/etc. for ages.

The bag that the two-pack of adapters was in noted them as 2.5mm.

I likely bought it from Amazon. They are inexpensive compared to the price of your Push. I'd recommend buying a few from different sellers/brands with the correct dimensions and returning those that don't work or that you do not need or of poor quality, etc.
