I've just set up Ableton as an FX send/sequencer for a DJ/Live setup b/w my laptop and my A&H XONE:92...and have an issue that I'm sure some of you have runi into.
There is a lag b/w the master outs and the return channel in my mixer...though slight, it's still noticeable. I've cranked down the buffer size as small as I can go without distortions...but there is still a "beating" effect present.
I would imagine the way to go about this would be to connect an external delay unit to the master outs of the mixer but I'd rather not go out and buy one if I don't have to...I realize some clubs have them, but not all systems are that well put together.
I was just wondering if anyone here has experienced this and gone ANOTHER route of fixing the problem.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

HELP!!! ABLETON AS AN FX SEND...
well the problem doesn't really have anything to do with that b/c the delay issue has to do with the output of the actual mixer and the software lagging behind it. Delay compensation won't fix that b/c the analog is traveling (relatively of course) much faster and isn't an internal process w/in the computer DAW environment...jahnlay wrote:Have you switched on delay compensation, this may have an effect on your sound.
