Shortcuts like space and tab not working anymore

Hi all,

This is a completely new laptop macos, but i didnt use that musicmaking. Now I have started again - I noticed that spacebar/tab/ probably other quick-shorcuts dont do either. I have tested everything outside ableton. So that doesnt seem the issue. I also notice blue "wide" lines around certain dialog screens, or sometimes just random.

any idea?
