considering that session mode isn't even finished... (no follow actions and no automation "envelopes" with clips for example...)
I think we can wait a long time for an arrangement mode...
imo not before Push v4(with a larger screen height...)

Oh well...to arrange a song from clips you initially don't need a large screen and even for "mastering" you arrangement later, you don't need the full stereo waveform representation of a track. You just need a kickass UX/UI designer to pull this off.

So it's not a "real" arrangement mode
just a kind of enhanced "song mode"
to roughly arrange the sequence of clips on a timeline
because in my opinion, we NEED to see waveforms in a real arrangement mode
especially when you have a lot of elements to "align" from one track to another, know where to cut etc.
you even need to be able to zoom-in precisely
in my experience, even the AKAI 7" screen is sometimes a bit short for a good arrangement mode or for editing linear audio tracks
don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be against this type of "simplified" arrangement
but we have to realize that Ableton won't add anything that doesn't exist in Live... (since they won't put everything that exists in the software, they're not going to add what isn't there...).
and this type of screen would force them to design a mode specifically for Push
if they put follow actions for clips and scenes, it would already be a good way of organizing clip chaining imo

Yes, because taking into account what this thing is - a box with a tiny screen with a weird aspect ratio - that's what I would deem feasible. And no, I don't get you wrong, it's just us being constructive.
EDIT: Just like the arrangement mode on the AKAI Force, for example. I think Ableton could pull that off...

Theoretically, of course they could (and more!).
But when I think that the other day (on this forum) someone told me that I was delusional because I asked for a basic "copy/paste" function (that is currently absent from midiclips)...
It's just a question of priorities, in fact.
I tell myself that they still have a lot of work to do before they can even "imagine" making an arrangement mode.

Yes, that's why I look at that thing as "an investment in future updates". Looking at it as it is now...it's hardly worth 500,-β¬. I just hope they don't loose interest too quickly.

Aww...still no Arranger mode...

We've been waiting for arranger mode now for ages...
But seriously, this is the number one missing feature that I'd like to have on standalone.

they haven't even provided a button on the panel that could eventually call up an arrangement mode...
This speaks volumes about their desire to develop this aspect in the future...
when you look at the silkscreen of the buttons, you can see a vertical/session mode, clearly. But no horizontal/arrangement mode
Sure, they can tinker with something... but in terms of design/ergonomics, it will always be tinkering.

There's always the useless "User-Mode" button on the top-left
EDIT: Well...for me a "magic" marker would be 12 month from initial release. If they haven't made major improvements by then I'll try to recoup at least 50% of the money spend. Before it becomes a total paperweight...

Right!
Personally, I couldn't agree more!
But I think some people still use it a bit...

Just updated everything Push 3 controller, firmware and Suite.
The touch strips Pithbend function on the touchstrip don't work on any instrument!, vst or Ableton instrument, it keeps being used at a volume on track 1, (audio rack or instrument rack). Modwheel function works, Drumracks function works.
And im not in sequencer mode as the manual says where its the place where it don't work.
But its annoying the touch strip don't work with pitch bend at all, only as a volume for track 1.
Im using original cable directly into computer, no hubs. Mac M1 16 gb, plenty of room.
Kind regards
Tim

Ive installed the new beta, and everything seems to work with touchstrip also on the original live suite and push 3 controller.
