Is it possible to use the Beta on the controller edition of Push 3?
I have few issues I think could be related:
- I cannot connect to http://push.local/update
- My Windows 11 PC cannot find the drivers for the Ableton device although I am nbot sure what functionality it is inhibitting. Unknown driver is named: Ableton Push 3 xPort
- A bunch M4L devices dont work just show "No parameter mapped"
Push 3 Beta on the controller edition
Re: Push 3 Beta on the controller edition
I'm not sure how to help you with the first issue, so you night want to contact support: https://www.ableton.com/en/help/
I've seen other people mention the driver issue here, but the general consensus seems to be to just ignore it since it's not impacting functionality. Correct me if I'm wrong.
That is going to be down to the M4L creators to fix, not all of them are created to be compatible with Push.

- It looks this way so i will just ignore for now.
Hopefully it is not too onerus a task for the M4L devs to upodate their device to work with Push 3

Re: Push 3 Beta on the controller edition
The controller should get the beta firmware when you connect it to Live beta, but I can’t confirm because the controller doesn’t appear to show the firmware version in settings. The instructions on the push beta website seem only to apply to the standalone model.

- I downloaded the Live Beta but it does not udpate the Push 3.
That said I still have the Unknown driver is named: Ableton Push 3 xPort which could be causing a whole bunhc of stuff i have no idea about
Re: Push 3 Beta on the controller edition
Mine updated automatically on macos when the latest beta with new firmware came out, so sounds like Windows isn't fully cooperating with the device, inhibiting firmware updates and M4L functionality? Connecting to push.local/update is for standalone version only (since the push has to be on wifi for this to work). Contact support and report back with any findings.jamie.bird76 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 10:42 pmThe controller should get the beta firmware when you connect it to Live beta, but I can’t confirm because the controller doesn’t appear to show the firmware version in settings.
