How to sync groove across VSTs/FX
So I'm aware that if I want to apply groove/swing/shuffle etc in my set (I work in arrangement view btw) I can do this using the groove pool, but I'm totally stuck as to how to sync groove across VST FX and instruments that have arpeggiators and LFOs - I might have Omnisphere, Arturia's filters and Native Instruments TRK-01 in a set all doing rhythmic stuff, but how the hell do I get them to follow the same groove??
Re: How to sync groove across VSTs/FX
Most VSTs with this kind of functionality have their own groove or swing function so this can be challenging... what you can do is to get their midi output and use Ableton groove function on this but for audio FX that wont work

Re: How to sync groove across VSTs/FX
Thanks cids, at least I know it's not something I'm missing - I find it kind of crazy that swing/groove isn't built in to the metronome function of a DAW and syncable across all plugins, it's such a basic element of production.

Unfortunately there isn't a "timing standard" to support this
