Can't get rid of the menu bar in the video window

Post by chadblaster » Tue Nov 29, 2016 3:17 am

Hey,

I can't seem to hide the menu bar in the video window when using a projector. The menu bar disappears when I toggle full screen in Ableton without being plugged into a projector, but as soon as I plug in the projector, drag the video screen to the second window and double click for full screen, the menu bar is still at the top. It goes slightly transparent but that's it.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Chad

Try resizing the Ableton zoom options. I had this issue as well and when I changed the zoom options it fixed the issue.

Hey there,

I figured out a solution. Open the a second window (View - Second Window) and drag that second window over to your external display, along with the video window. Full screen the second screen in your external display and then full screen the video window. That should remove the top bar.

For anyone running into the same issue, there's one more step you need to do in addition to what emursemusic wrote above:

I was still having issues with the menu bar showing until I realized you also have to double click the top bar on the video window after setting it to fullscreen for it to be fully hidden.
